This Week at FBC Brandon
The Word of God instructs us as His children to be busy carrying out the work and will of our Heavenly Father. As a church family we are granted many opportunities and ministries to be involved in. The majority of the programs and activities that we want you to participate in are paid through the faithful giving of your tithes and offerings. However there are some events that we offset the expense through the purchasing of tickets. When these limited opportunities are made available it would greatly benefit the organizers of the event for us to purchase our tickets as early as possible. This helps our leaders of the event to adequately prepare for the supplies and materials that will be needed to ensure that we are being the best stewards of God's resources. In the coming weeks let me briefly share with you about three amazing events that you will want to secure your ticket for as soon as possible.
First, we hope you are making plans to join us on October 17th for our Centennial Family BBQ. We are planning for a crowd of over 800 individuals to join us for this special time of fellowship and celebration. The event will take place on the north parking lot of our campus between the hours of 4:30-7:00 p.m. This is a "drop in, drop out" event, so come stay for the entire event or as long as your schedule will allow. Join us for an incredible time of fellowship, games for the children, amazing music, time capsule reveal, and a fabulous BBQ dinner. Tickets are NOT needed to attend this Centennial celebration. Tickets are ONLY needed for the meal, and they can be purchased in the Church Library and Church Office.
Second, come join over 200 members of your church family as we go to the movies. The movie night will take place at AMC Regency Brandon on Saturday, October 24th. The Christian movie that we will be attending that night is entitled, "WOODLAWN." Seating is limited and will quickly sell out, so don't hesitate in purchasing your $6 ticket to our FBC Brandon movie night. Tickets are available in the Church Library, Office, and MAC front desk.
Third, ladies, let me strongly encourage you to attend our 2015 Holiday event entitled "The Sweetness of Serving." The event will take place on Friday, November 6th from the hours of 7-9 in the evening. Speakers will share testimonies about the many FBC holiday ministry opportunities. The evening will highlight The Florida Baptist Children's Homes, Gift of Hope, Operation Christmas Child, and many other ministry events. It will also be a time of sweet fellowship and the sharing of holiday sweets and recipes. Tickets are available in the Church Office and Library for $10. If you would like to share your favorite holiday sweet that evening, or if you have any questions about the event please email Christy.Shimkus@fbcbrandon.org.
